Appointments
Remember your scheduled appointment and make sure someone is there. This is time scheduled to come to your location. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call at least 24 hours in advance. If an emergency occurs, please contact me as soon as possible so we can reschedule.
The best way to make an appointment is to call my cell phone at 510.579.5602. If e-mail is more convenient, please contact me at . Please include phone number(s) to contact you at, since that is the most direct way to schedule appointments. Also, please understand that I’m usually at someone’s piano - not a desk with a computer - so I’ll respond as soon as I can.
Preparations for Service
- Quiet is golden and can help produce a better result.
- Any noise can interfere with tuning. Some common household sounds that can compromise tuning quality include: dishwashing, running water, TV, music, stereo, radio, vacuum cleaner, lawn mower/edger, power tools, loud voices, children and pets (including birds) running around.
- Please schedule a time without housecleaners, gardeners, play dates for children, or other loud events. They all need to make noise whereas a good quality tuning requires relative quiet.
- If you have home improvement/remodeling projects active, please schedule a time when they are not active.
- I am not a babysitter, teacher or entertainer! While I appreciate that you'd love to have this be a learning experience for your children, it distracts me from doing the best job possible on your piano. Please make other arrangements for your children.
- Please remove everything from the top of the piano, and overhanging plants and lamps next to the piano.
Payment
Payment at the time of service is appreciated. I accept cash or your personal check.

Scheduling Hints
When scheduling a tuning appointment, please mention any problems with the piano so I can schedule enough time to handle them.
I will also need to know the last time your piano was tuned.
